This isn’t good.

"The patient underwent surgery during the evening to reduce and fix a
complex fracture of the femur," the statement reads, indicating
osteosynthesis with plates or screws, was also carried out.

Yea, Brian Nygaard was saying on the cycling podcast that it was a very long surgery. He also said Ineos were happy with how it went and feeling positive that he'd make a full recovery. Serious though.
