Yeah, in general V-shape rims are OK at zero yaw and then get worse because they stall almost immediately once they get any crosswind. The U-shape revolution not only improved stability but in most cases gave us wheels whose drag fell as yaw increased until the stall angle, which is typically between 15°-20°
