Ok this might be AQA but trying here first. A couple of weeks ago a cat (I think) shat in the flowerbed by the front door. It has decided that's the spot now. Just got home and it absolutely reeks. Grim. Not easy to remove the offending turds as there's ground cover there (small purple bellflower) and the wet shit kind of falls through / smushes. How to persuade cat not to shit there? Orange peel? I haven't seen it in the act so don't know which it is, there are several around us.
