IQ-X has a switch on the back to turn on/off while rolling. If piggybacked and light switched to off would 100% of dynamo power flow to USB?

That's right.

When you have your lights on, very little power is delivered to your device/powerbank .

Pclip on the strut leg and use a Nitto lamp holder without the attachment bolt. I think the Lamp Holder 8R is designed for braze ons.

Like this but attach the nitto to a pclip

Bought a couple of different sizes of stainless pclip for a rack project recently so can send you one if you want...

For others who have been log struggling with dynamo mounting on forks without a mount on the front, I've just had this designed and 3D print prototyped here at a local machine shop in Vietnam. The plan is to have one CNC machined for me to use on my Isen's columbus gravel fork where the only threading is on the rear of the fork crown.

Anyone interested in one if I did a batch?

People using supernova front mount with the double T25 fittings, are you carrying 2 X T25 tools with you in case adjustment is needed ?

Doing my first long ride with the setup at the weekend and realised my multi tool has only single T25 and it's not in great condition anyway.

I'd be interested in one for my partners bike, she has the same fork.

There are two variants; the smaller version is most often described as an e-bike light, but I’ve seen it described (possibly incorrectly) as a dynamo light.

They’re pretty hard to find in the U.K. and are >£50 for something that you can get in Germany for < 30€.
Mostly they’re out of stock (in silver) or not available for shipping to U.K.

Anyway before I’d done proper research I drunkenly bought the smaller version on Amazon 🤦🏻‍♂️

Why would an e-bike light not work when powered by a generator hub via a front light (B&M IQ Xs)
The current will have been rectified to DC by the front light which also provides the stand-light (no?)
I know it’s not going to work (Sod’s Law) but why not?

Ah, I had the exact same conundrum 2 weeks ago. Ended up taking a T20 and a T25 key (I don't have a multitool, I prefer standalone keys for ease of use and access), it worked fine.

I had to adjust the angle of the light in the middle of the night, it didn't move afterwards, you don't need a huge amount of torque so the T20 is fine.

Sounds like a good work around, it would not be ideal to not have the option to adjust.

I'll have to have a rummage in the garage.

Has anyone got some SON connectors spare?

Try to avoid ordering online for something so small - packaging etc.

No. A standard dynamo front light just passes through the AC power from the dynamo to the rear light terminals. They usually disconnect it if the front light is switched off.

There needs to be a second standlight circuit and capacitor in the rear light.

I don't know where I got it from because I certainly didn't buy it but I've got a little T25 socket that fits on a 4mm hex key which is useful for not having to carry a whole extra T25
