We went with Chauncey in the end - Dinesen were too expensive for the amount of flooring we were looking at. We rejected the initial samples and they came back with much nicer stain/wash. Dinesen seem to either get first pick or have their own timber so they get that totally pure grain. The Chauncey boards have slightly more knots but we were mostly able to hide these or arrange for alternate boards to be sent
