SBGW267 (with a black Atelier Romane strap).

One of the all time worst website product shots from GS for that one, even by their standards.

Good shout, I think I have one somewhere!

One of the all time worst website product shots from GS…
Shows the air bubble under the crystal issue pretty well though!
-

Yeah, the macro even shows it on mine, sadly! At least it’s practically invisible to the naked eye on my example, unlike the first one they gave me.

thanks for the link, yes your photo and black strap look much better than the boutique's effort. I don't know if the air bubble thing is a problem, but the simplicity and case size work for me.

The dial is very silver and shiny - it's like the aluminium foil wrapper from a kitkat, it's got that way of reflecting light. It's not champagne or yellow in any way.
The bubble thing can be a problem on all of the variants of the SBGW231 design (the hand wound mechanical 37mm case) recently. Apparently it's bubbles in the adhesive they use to secure the crystal.
It's probably more of a problem and more visible with the darker dials. Just make sure you inspect the watch before buying, because how visible it is varies massively from watch to watch.

This shows the dial a little better maybe. It sunrays a bit, but the dial is domed so the highlights kind of “flip” around.

Holy mother of sexiness, that is nice.
@Retro_Bastard love the Hamilton, khaki/sandy nato for contrast?
@Technics100 great find. Looking forward to a wrist shot!

Thanks it immediately feels at home on my wrist. It's just what I was after for a daily wearer. I put it on this earlier which matches up really well. I spent a bit of time this morning changing the buckle after brushing it up to try and match the ti case. I'm happy with how it came up. Not a nato but a khaki/sandy one for you

My friend’s Dad died earlier this week and her mum gave her his watch.
It’s stopped running and she thought she had broken it (she didn’t know it needed to be wound).
She’s now worrying that she doesn’t know anything about the watch and I said I know a bunch of people who will be able to help with IDing it and providing some info about it. Any help/info appreciated!

that is a junghans max bill, the mechanical version by the sounds of it, a lovely timeless watch by a classic designer.
condolences to your friend. my dad passed last year suddenly, it was horrible.

edit: it's probably worth about a grand if she wants to sell.
