Personally I think the chances of Evenepoel being at the Tour are slim at best. He’s got to recover from Covid first, then try and do the right training to peak at the Tour. That’s very challenging.
Then you look at the course, which really doesn’t suit him, and who’d be available from his team to support him and I think you’d conclude that it doesn’t make sense.
It be better to recover fully, prepare for the Worlds and possibly the Vuelta, then focus on the Tour next year as has always been the plan.
