  • last (I promise) boring tyre update. I tried a few more times, concluded life's too short to spend any more time on it + I'm not spending valuable touring time witha tyre I don't trust. I'd bought a set of the more knobbly bargain Halo tyres ribble were doing as well, so am going to put one of those on the front and switch the good tyre to the rear. Which might make for the ultimate on/offroad combo. But probably won't. But as long as they stay inflated it'll be fine.
WIll try and warranty that leaking one as well, though at £9 it's hard to work up the energy.

  • I normally pump stubborn leaky tyres to the max listed pressure to find the leaks and leave tilted so sealant pools in the leaky parts, just something else to try while you wait for a replacement...

  • Pretty much done every possible variation of this... you could literally feel the air coming out in multiple places round the seam if pumped up to any sort of pressure and the sealant just wasn't working.
Sending it back is going in the 'to do' list for when I'm back, got too much on at the moment to sink anymore time into it.
(and if I did have the free time I'd rather waste it re-reading the DIY aero helmet thread again, which I'd totally forgotten about. Or the cat touring one. Literally anything other than take tyres on and off again and wiping sealant off stuff).
