Nasty things, larvae of the cranefly, do terrible things to lawns. Is this the gardening thread?

Like a £280 Japanese celotape dispenser, tape not included? It’s crazy, yes, but is it enough to pay for living expenses in Japan? I guess with a global market, it might well be.

I need new chainrings.
5 bolt 110 bcd 48 / 38 so it all works nicely on my quarq dzero power meter.
I have shimano 11 speed chain and cassette.Where/who/how much?
I cobbled two chain rings together in a mix and match fashion and it’s had predictably unpredictable shifting. -

Anyone know where in London I can buy a traditional Ukrainian ‘vyshivanka’ top for a male human?

If its a high gloss finish, its unlikely to be powder-coat.
Really?
The last frame I had powder coated in an electric cherry red came out with a very high gloss finish.

Does anyone recognise this little logo on the axle?
It looks like ‘LB’
I’m assuming it isn’t Light Bicycle.I bought a nice custom made titanium fork, the owner had it made by a Chinese Ti builder a few years back but can’t remember the name of the company he got it from.
There’s a chance the axle is made by someone else anyway, it looks slightly familiar but would like to try track down who made the fork.

Did that come from Manchester?

Er... I'm not actually sure, would need to check where the seller was based. Why?

It looks a lot like the one that was in my workshop, but there's a chance Dave chucked it on eBay without me noticing.

Nah, from a chap in Cumbria according to his FB profile. His name isn't Dave and he said he had it custom made by a Chinese builder.
It looks near identical to one of these but its drilled for a dynamo too.
edit - I realise though that I probably won't be able to find out exactly who made it unless the seller checks his emails for the invoice - I've asked him.
Just that logo on the axle looked familiar but I cant place it.

I tidied up the cables behind my TV the other day, now half the channels look like they are set to 256 colour mode.
This is most noticeable on browns. We have an indoor aerial and I put the cables inside some trunking. I've checked the connections and retuned a couple of times, but it still looks a bit ropey.
Any ideas?

Looks a lot like one we had made, think it was from XCAD.

Am currently on a cycle trip and towards the end of a days riding I started to develop some pain in both my Achilles tendons kind of simultaneously iirc. Doesn’t really restrict normal movement just quite uncomfortable when pedalling. Anyone had similar?

I’d like to get hold of it this weekend ideally.
Also open to online suggestions.

Thanks, thats what I'm leaning towards.
It seems there's a few builders all knocking out very similar forks, same drop outs and tube profiles etc
I guess the individual parts are all coming from the same place. The build quality on mine is so good that I'd consider having another one made for a different bike.

Ukraine is open for business, I bought a Kubanka from a shop in Kyiv this year and it arrived reasonably quickly considering, 18 days from order to delivery and most of that was UK customs clearance
At risk of stating the obvious,

No, but you probably want to get your cleats as far back on your shoes as is comfortable in case it’s Achilles tendonitis?

Thanks, luckily my last day was when it started hurting quite a lot. So I only had to put up with it on the bike on the journey home. Pain in both, but right tendon has a lump on it :-s. Prob have to be off the bike for a number of weeks if it is tendinitis.

Mine both fucked up on a ride from Manchester to Newquay a few years back but the right one was ruined from Bristol (think I saw you at a polo tournament for the evening) until the end. I managed to find a stupid angle to wedge my foot and a slightly lower saddle and more mid cleats meant it stopped getting worse, but it was a very uncomfortable few miles. Shorter cranks helped afterwards but my right one has been playing up for the last few weeks and I've not evening been riding much.

Is there anywhere to get a silver narrow wide chainring (110 bcd)? Have been searching but all I can find are anodised fun colours..
