  • Unless the message is entirely personal, are you able to paste the full text? Have they self-reported to the information commissioner's office?

  • Yeah no problem, as per the below.

We are writing to let you know about an error that occurred last week during a migration of data.

    What happened?
As a result of the error, between 10.30am and 12.45pm on Wednesday 3 May if you logged in to your Wiggle account you may have seen a name and email address of another user. You may also have had an email from us with a name and email address that was not yours.

At the same time, your email address and name may have been visible to one other customer.

At no point were any password, payment details or delivery addresses visible.

    Immediate action taken
We took action immediately when the issue was discovered to stop any further customers being affected. This included taking down our website until the error and its impact were fully investigated. The cause was quickly identified and fixed and we reported the incident to the relevant authorities.

    No additional action required
You do not need to take any additional action as no passwords, financial information or address details were shared. However, we recommend you continue to remain vigilant for any unexpected emails, and to maintain strong passwords or phrases which are unique to each account.

We would like to take this opportunity to apologise to you and offer our assurances that Wiggle remains dedicated to improving our data protection practices.

If you would like to discuss this further, you can contact us directly about any concerns you may have at data@wiggle.com.

You can also read more about our privacy policy here.

    Data Protection Officer
