I'd think about the roof - its pretty dominant ( at least in those pix. ) Could go nice plain clay red tile matched with trad black barn siding. or if you want a more minimal rural vibe, corrugated roof and vertical board and batten would do. Render could work (not grey) if the roof was zinc.
