The Phonica tax is well known and a bit of an in-joke amongst London record shops. Last time I was in SOTU there was a guy doing what could almost be a stand up routine about it to the delight of staff and customers

I got a box set of Workin', Steamin', Relaxin', Walkin' and Cookin' for about the same price as that. And to my peasant ears, it sounds bloody fine.

'Audiophile' re-issue cash grabs can do one. My local is selling it for a tenner less, but it's still a hard pass from me. I picked up the OJC CD for about £3 a year ago.
