Lastly bottom bracket looks like original part, probably the only original part.
Just bought this on impulse, frame has been restored, possibly from the raleigh lightweight range late 80's. Frame size is 54 or 21 and a half 531. Have found very similar frame in 87 catalogue. Its got all nos parts, shimano 600 group and sugino GT crankset. Weinmann brakes and levers with nos brake pads, alesa rims 36 hole, mallard hubs. Only the condor seatpost and san marco saddle are obviously not classic parts. The shimano groupset is made from different ranges from early to late 80's cant remember all the numbers. Its got original raleigh tyres and i have added mks stream pedals. 6 speed shimano cassette, all teeth on cassette and chainrings look unsed, in fact all parts except the front derailleur look nos. I have copper greased the seatpost to sieze proof it, dry lubed the chain and wd40 the 2 or 3 slightly corroded bolts (rest are all like new)
Only drawback is a very minor ding on the underside of the too tube which i didn't notice when buying. Its really irked me but it is very very minor and i can tell it was done before it was resprayed or powder coated. Wheels are true to within less than 1mm. Someone has done a very nice job on this but i just went and bought a condor acciaio and im not allowed to keep both. Not gonna put a price on it just yet, just want to see if there is any interest.
