holy shit... How do I know if it's the same frame?

The identical one off paint job?
Oh mate I really feel for you here.
Horrible situation to be in, but can you imagine how over the moon the owner would be to get this back?
It’s so rare for stolen bikes to be reunited with their owner, there’s a rare opportunity.I’d get in touch with the original owner and talk it out.

yeah I just looked at the photos on the stolen bikes website - same headset, seat clamp - has got to be the same bike.
What absolute fuckers. Furious.I'm going to contact the original owner now

I messaged the original owner when it appeared on eBay and he said it was the same one. I’ve sent him the link to this page but worth emailing him too. If you didn’t PayPal the payment I’d suggest contacting the police, their eBay page still seems active

interested if not sold or stolen

Sorry - withdrawn until I hear from the stolen bikes guy
-
• #12
I've emailed him - will wait to hear what he wants to do.
Annoyingly I didn't pay through paypal but with cash in person (how I usually buy/sell on lfgss) - too much trust this time it seems.
Once I've been in contact with the rightful owner I'll contact police etc
Cheers

Good luck..

Good luck getting the money back. Would’ve been in the same position as you, but had a hunch the price was too good to be true when it came up on eBay

If this person still has an active eBay page with anything listed, I’d be buying anything they had listed and agreeing to collect and pay in person. Bring a good few mates and or the cops.

Despite my years I clearly need a better trust radar...
Rarely see nice bikes come up in my size so just jumped on it at the time! -

This is my custom specified Isen bike that was stolen in chiswick. It would be amazing to get it back as it cost a lot of money.

Nomanative determinism

@fids do the decent thing and subtract the £200 reward from the £750 asking price and let @user51021 have his bike back for £550.

Thanks all for your comments - I'm on the phone with David now organising to get it back to him.
I'm closing this thread now as I don't want the guy on ebay getting wind of this.
