Allen key skewers are better if you don't mind needing an allen key, and (some) anti theft skewers are better again, if you don't mind keeping the tool on your keyring.
I've got a couple of sleek AF pairs by PZ Racing which use a little aluminium cone wrench. Although last I looked I couldn't find them for sale anywhere : (
