Kona Zing in 56cm, Rabobank-esque colour. Also note the cable ties for rear brake, I guess the owner CBA routing through the top tube!

I had this built with modern parts and it thrived with them.

It’s utterly ridiculous how much rim brakes have fallen from favour on road bikes. After listening to roadies drone on for years about how discs would never work on road bikes (too powerful for a road tyre / too heavy / not aero). The entire community has dropped rim brakes faster than the Beeb dropped Jimmy Saville. Some screaming bargains to be had

IMO, rim brakes are still as good especially the direct mount ones and are way lighter than disc.

Nice frame on the Roberts, but the build is crap/weird
Here is a nice fillet brazed omega
And a Ron Cooper built from the very rare Minimax tubeset (though not a bargain exactly)

Concept 90 I think, crop up regularly. There's a smaller wheel version that was meant to be faster :)
Someone on Retrobike has Dave Lloyd's book where he kept the frame numbers, build info and who bought it.
Forged version. Not CNC .
