  • What else can they say? "We're shit, people hate us." How fucking stupid would they have to be to say that?

It's never about serving the country and its people.
it's about moulding the country THEY want.

Edit: my tmbc green vote also got in!

  • They lost all 19 councillors in Lewes. Zero left.

  • Austerity enablers is a name for a shit punk band surely.

  • @kl my green vote too!

I really hope the greens took the seat in Wateringbury specifically. That would be the icing on the cake.

  • Hildenborough for me. It was my named candidate. Not sure if my second vote made it but there were only one each of green, labour and LD

    Results should all be posted:
    eg: TMBC

  • Good because they are getting the bin on the new GE although not sure that Starmer is much better.

  • Ah arsebiscuit. 2 seats in my region, both stayed with the Tory fuckknuckles. Still a pleasing result in TMBC as a whole though.

  • Slough is an absolute shithole, regardless of who runs it.

100% enjoy seeing moping, weeping Tory bastard councillors on tv this morning. It’s a miracle they didn’t lose more seats.

  • The one near Worcester is where I grew up. My dad was in despair.

In ‘97 Labour closed the hospital and all the left-of-Tory support went to an independent protest party. They had the MP from 2001-2010 and most of the council. After 2010 they disbanded and place has been a Tory stronghold ever since. I’d suspect the reason for the Tory gains has more to do with Labour and Lib Dems being non-existent round there than it does any particular love for yet more Tory worse-than-uselessness but then a significant proportion of the population have never been past Birmingham and it does have some unpleasantly racist/brexity vibes too.

  • Has it still not sunk in for Liz Truss that 'the Markets'
as in 'the Markets will decide',
(the whole premise of Thatcher-onwards Tory 'less government' policy),
have found her unfunded tax-cuts to be toxic to the UK economy.

    If Sunak had any balls, he would forbid her from taking this trip;

  • He’s too busy taking a helicopter flight back from Southampton…

  • Only a helicopter?
I thought he was busy racking up the airmiles on 'that' private jet?

  • Lose over 1000 seats, be described by the client press as the real winner.

  • The only coalition of chaos we've had is Johnson, Sunak and Truss in a cabinet together.

  • This should be in Epic WTF - guy's a former Labour MP, shadow minister, and these are some of his recent headlines:

Kier Starmer's dream of a Labour majority has crumbled
Rishi has just played a masterstroke to stop the small boats
Diane Abbott has given Starmer a chance to avow Critical Race Theory
Ignore the outcry: Voter ID is long overdue

  • Former Conservative MP Andrew Bridgen has launched legal action against Matt Hancock after joining actor Laurence Fox's Reclaim Party.

Mr Bridgen was expelled from the Conservative Party in April after claiming in January the COVID-19 vaccine was "the biggest crime against humanity since the Holocaust".

Former health secretary Mr Hancock, who remains suspended from the Tories for appearing on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, condemned Mr Bridgen's comments as "antisemitic" at the time.

    Yep, everything is totally fine.

  • The infighting taking shape nicely.

Former Home Secretary Priti Patel will blame "those in power and control" of the Conservative Party for their heavy local election losses in a speech later.

In the speech, Ms Patel is also expected to blame the MPs who removed Mr Johnson from power, saying "they took down a vote-winning political giant".

    Delusional

  • i love you lot for updating this thread as often as you do … oh, mouse with heart eyes emoji doesn’t work on forum, you’ll have to imagine it
