I'm getting there with it slowly. I've heard the guy from maestro is a friendly chap 😂 but fortunately my frame has nothing to do with him. Slane cycles, Windwave and Colnago. Windwave have been filled in and agree it's unacceptable. I was forwarded the return email from Windwave saying that and now its just Slane speaking to Colnago. Slane have been great I've had daily emails from them saying we're on it still waiting to hear from Colnago. It's a warranty job 100% if i was to pursue it or possibly even a refund though my credit card company. But that would leave me without a frame for months or without one at all so just going to sort it myself whatever it takes and hopefully have this on the road within the next couple of weeks 🤞
Thanks I've been reading up on it and apparently it's a common problem just not with brand new Colnagos. I am going to try a narrow metal brush first. Lithium grease on the post was what helped me get the alloy on in in the first place it made a massive difference. At least the new seatpost is going to look nice once i can get it in
