I've been told it's TIG welded and therefore a long and somewhat complicated process? I also assumed it might be easily repairable, although I don't know if I'd put it up to main off-road duties after a fix, unless the entire tube was replaced. But I'm no frame builder...
I’d just get it tig welded, it’s not a big job any fabrication, engineering place should be able to sort it out. Shouldn’t cost too much and what’s the worst that’ll happen? It’ll crack again…
TIG weld on steel is not a complicated process, even I could do a decent weld there. Get it repaired, won't cost much and should last if the welder knows what's he's doing
I'm often a sucker for new stuff but isn't the selling point of steel repairability?!
