I got the 'too early' on the eBrevet thing at St Ives too. I knew I wasn't as our average speed was 25km, not 30. The organiser said at the end that he had put the wrong time in.
The multiple gates round Rutland Water were hell on the tandem, as mounting and dismounting got progressively more difficult for my stoker as he tired. Pedestrians held two of them open for us which was a big help.
We had a similar tandem multiple leap off/ manoeuvre round/ leap on near the start of the Lincolnshire Poacher 400 on the weekend. Happily that won’t be needed at PBP.
