Currently have Ikea Pax in an alcove in the kid's room, and want to fill the rest of the gap between wardrobe and wall with open shelves - so one side secured to wall, the other to the wardrobe. Gasp/spam is about 40cm.
Best plan of action? Doesn't need to be beautiful - battens screwed to each side as the support?
Yes. But you'll need to make sure the Pax is properly fixed to the wall and when you do make sure it's straight - otherwise it'll have a knock-on effect to the shelves.
