  • I'm getting maybe double than that in the rear corsa, but I'm skinny, don't commute on it and ride in clean girona roads, hardly any gravel.

  • Thanks, but things change in a heartbeat. No XC bike for me, I won’t even be able to buy the tyres. Such is life.

  • Oh? You ok?

  • Similar stuff happening at my place. I'm not impacted... yet.
Best of luck with whatever shit they throw at ya.

  • Any offers around on Schwalbe G-speed 32 tlr

  • I'm in the market for a pair of 26" 2/2.2" slicks for a MTB conversion. Wondering whether tan wall is the way to go but am struggling to find a decent pair, anyone got any recommendations? Or any opinion on the Baldys selling on eBay?

  • Look no further than Continental Contact Urban. Not tanwall but ticks all the boxes for city riding.

  • 2nd that. Have done many many miles for a couple of years now on mine and have no complaints

  • Cheers

  • Someone likes Vittorias...

  • I'll answer my own question on Panaracer Paselas just for the record: the all-black versions don't feel any different, as far as I can tell, from the tanwall ones. They're still a supple tyre as the sidewall is quite thin. They are just as comfortable, grippy and fast too and I really wish I'd discovered them earlier. Also for the record, they come up slightly small, the 32s measure 30mm wide when mounted on a wide rim.

  • I see pirelli have a new tubeless version of their p zero coming out . It looks like a conti 4 season competitor.

    50 quid a pop.

  • That's going high on my list to replace the now discontinued Michelin Power Road.

  • Am after a nice feeling tyre for the road and lanes that can also be used on the likes of west kernow way etc. 700c by a maximum width of 38c... any tips?

  • Vittoria Terreno Zero or Terreno Dry. The former is better if you're riding predominantly on roads, but can cope with bridleways, the latter is better if you're spending a bit more time off road.

  • Pirelli seem to get recommended a lot too, but I've no experience of them myself.

  • @andyp Cheers - is that the cinturato? I forgot to say tubeless too!

  • Caveat, think I’m pretty numb to tyre feel, suppleness and all those other words people use.

Have had good experience with Cinturato velo and Teravail Ramparts, of which the 38c is closer to 36c.

  • If priced at about £50 it'll kill the £90 Conti 5K All Season if its a similar performance

  • Vittoria recommended above is pretty good, I'd recommend Tufo thundero too, it's a gravel tyre but it flies on road, and it's cheap

  • Any recommendations for a decently priced all rounder? Only ridden on gatorskins and cheapo 23c kendas. Looking to change to a 28, would prefer something a bit quicker. (if it exists)

  • For inner tubes? How much do you want to spend?

  • yeah tubes. £40ish
