I got one 2nd hand for about £200. The battery life is terrible. At best you'd get two days of light use out of it. I have just cancelled the Fitbit premium subscription after the free period as I'm not really using it for fitness or tracking, or else the battery would be even worse. I do like the notifications however, and how easily it paired and works with my Pixel 6Pro phone. I had a Garmin Vivoactive a while ago, and while the battery was better, the charging method was flaky and the connection to whatever phone I had was not consistent. And they recently released whatsapp beta which has an app for the watch so I can see full conversations and pictures now which means not having to get my phone out if I get a message. Reading and deleting emails is handy too, but I imagine many other smartwatches also do this.
Would I spend £200 again? Probably not. Would I spend £279? Definitely not. But, as always, YMMV
Pixel Watch available for £279 at the moment.
Gotta say I'm tempted.
Does anyone have one? Is the battery really shite? Will I got locked into a Fitbit subscription I don't want?
