if its not where the jersey sleeve grips or something i wouldnt worry about it at all, I've never noticed any ill effects. started riding in gloves a few days after my hands were done, albeit with a little extra cream, no drop outs

Funny, originally I wanted a machete in my jungle tattoo but opted out as I felt that it would be interpreted in a violent/aggressive way rather than as a tool.
Still could be worse. You could have gone all in on those Russian prison fetish tats. They can't have aged well.
Who was that artist for a massive hard on for that whole scene?

Little rib tickler yesterday.
Fun little one drawn up by a friend who’s leaving the country- we bonded over historical footwear and skating so a victorian button-boot skate seemed appropriate.
Malice had her draw it straight onto the tracing sheet with no cleanup from her so it’s perfectly imperfect(my mate is a great illustrator luckily).
Obvs cos I’m a muppet I don’t have a finished pic.

Three hours of shading done yesterday. One side done, one to go. Way easier to handle at 11am with a good sleep, good breakfast and enough food and drink with me. Lining at 6pm after a days work and no dinner yet was hell; couldn’t control my breathing and could only focus on the pain. Made me postpone the shading for two years…

I am definitely going to get the knife covered up in the winter when it's colder and I have saved up a bit. Tattoos in the summer are sweaty and take ages to heal.

Really like the chess piece and board.

Fair play, my chest was a bugger - that must've been spicy.
I was in for 4h today starting the shading on my legs/buttocks/back/groin piece, more sessions booked in through the year but I've got some serious blocks of black to heal up too!
As an aside - @Sumo I am always up for a Parkway Drive reference.

Chest was a cake walk compared to the stomach and ribs.
I really want my knees done (apart from
really not wanting to go through getting my knees done) by Kike Esteras over at Blackship in Barcelona. Does anyone have any idea on his prices? -

I'm going through shading on a big blackwork piece which goes from just above my knees all the way up to my lower back - I think it'll be the groin section in the next sitting which I imagine will be my biggest challenge yet based on what it was like getting it lined.
I'm not touching my knees, I've done both elbow ditches and I can't imagine inking the knee ditches without involuntarily kicking the artist in the head!

My knee ditches were fine. A bit twitchy but not too sore! Knee caps were more challenging. One was fine, the other was horrible.

Only had one knee done, tapped out after 3 hours on the first session because it was hurty.
Finished on the second sitting.
This was about 6 years ago. Still not ready to get the other one done.

I've considered a walrus wearing a crown, but fear it may be too grey.

Yeah the worst thing is if I start one I have to get the other done. I’m symmetrical so far. I’d really like to find someone local so I don’t have to try to do big sessions but can’t seem to find the right artist over here. I tried to get Chris Green but haven’t managed to get a response yet. Also he’s in Manchester so might as well go to Barcelona!

Pics? Sounds interesting. I’ve once my torso is done l I’ll be going back round into my back. But I’ve wanted my knees done for ages and I can’t go into my m thighs until I get them

I don't put pictures of my own tattoos online, but it's a very traditional take on a Samoan Pe'a and is being done by Sini Manu at Studio Tatatau. My sleeves/chestplates are heavy blackwork Japanese too, and once the Pe'a is done (around 15hrs left) that'll be me finished.
