And yet Trump gave Carleon his first interview since being charged with a criminal offence. Trump used that as an opportunity to make Carlson crawl, of course, but he might see making him Veep as another opportunity to do that while also gaining from Carlson's huge fanbase.
The biggest argument against Carlson accepting the offer would be that he has a good chance of defeating Trump as the next Republican candidate for president.
