How many spokes are rusty and do you think a bike shop would be able to replace these?
I am interested without the cassette -

I would say most of the spokes have at least some discolouration. They would be easy for a shop to replace if they can find the stock. If I was keeping them, I would likely use a bit of wire wool and repaint them myself, as they are still solid.
I can take the cassette off if you need, no problem. -

I've done the exact same as this on a set of these that I had. Wire wool, hammerite rust inhibitor and brush on some black paint

Someone asked me what the outer rim width is for frame clearance, so just confirming it is between 24-25mm.

Wheels sold. Thanks all.
Hello all,
I have owned these wheels since new and run them on my Super Six since I bought them from Merlin Cycles in 2017 (I have the original receipt if needed). I paid £750 for the set.
They have been a really excellent set of wheels, and sound great on the road.
I usually ride these in summer only, so they have probably done about 9,000km.
The brake tracks still appear to have a lot of life left in them, and the hubs have been serviced at least once a year by Hub Velo in Clapton, with new bearings installed about a year ago.
There is an 11spd cassette installed that has done about 2,000km I would guess.
Some of the bladed spokes have a bit of surface rust which I would say is only noticeable upon a closer look, and not affecting the integrity of the spokes.
Not suitable for tubeless. Still has the original rim tape installed. I can't recall the weight, but I think they are about 1.7kg - 1.8kg for the set inc skewers.
Pick up from E17, Walthamstow. I will consider delivering to other parts of London.
