Hi there hive mind of LFGSS cargo bike thread.
I have a BBSHD on a Bullitt. There's a 27t sprocket on the back. Mounted on a Nexus 5.
A couple of times recently the motor has cut out or the battery died. The motor issue has been fixed (or so it seems!) but I have a few longer rides coming up where the battery might not last the day.
When I'm on my own steam, since getting the BBSHD crankset installed it is very sludgy to ride. Even in first and second gear.
I'm looking at putting a 30t on the Nexus to make the gearing easier, so when I do have to pedal myself it's a bit easier.
Anything I need to be aware of with the controller and that? Any settings to be changed?
Conscious that the little sensor mounted on a spoke that measures the speed might have to be moved slightly, if the adjustment in the gearing shifts the axle forwards in the dropouts a bit.
Thanks for any advice. Still a total noob with the Ebike stuff.
having installed a BBSHD im pretty sure that would be it (adjusting the magnet/sensor) but this exact scenario has me looking at big batteries or maybe a dual setup. Was thinking about trying to take my cargo bike on maybe a 1-200km tour
