Google image says YT is full of videos of people fixing/cleaning without removing. Haven't watched any but from the images it looks like spraying carb cleaner.
Maybe check those out first.
The risk you often have with this stuff is it being held on by certain clips that then break because your not practiced in removing whatever part it is.
I'd check out the non removal options first to see if they fix it.
my engine light issue mentioned a few days back is the EGR valve - garage advice is "it won't break down unless it gets really bad, just see how it goes". £200 odd for the part, looks accessible enough to replace myself, I have the Haynes manual.
Is this actually something no amateur should fuck with? Is the error actually something that could be solved by pulling the unit off, filling it with carb cleaner, and sticking it back on with some liquid gasket?
