Apparently they take an age to wind to a full charge.

Meh, IWC isn't all that and you've got much nicer watches.
Frees up space for a GS.
-
• #71579
Yeah no shade to any IWC owners but IMO they're overrated. And unless your hobby is checking chrono24 then the best watch is the one you enjoy wearing the most.

Shots fired. He still has another IWC 🤪

Another non-Seiko option which is in the Oyster Perpetual / Aqua Terra mould (dress/sports hybrid, on a bracelet) but under £2k is the Milus Snow Star:

I’ve not seen the bracelet IRL but they are nice watches with good movements.

Was my first big boy pants watch but the one I wore least so not too bothered.
Also creates space for a treat for my 35th later in the year :D -

😬
Sorry Joe.

thanks for all the thoughtful and well-informed replies. I would be pretty happy with nearly all mentioned. I have had and enjoyed quite a few watches, and lost quite a bit of cash of course, I expected. Many of my other "investments" have been somewhat worse, so all is good. The one lesson I have learned is to take a bit more time over the chase. For all categories. Will keep you posted.

Luckily one I love!

Under 9mm thick, quite like it.

Such a bite of the GP Laureato / Zenith Skyline though. With Aqua Terra markers and date window. And a Octo Finissimo inspired bracelet. Not hard to picture the mood board.

Ti at £1225 is tasty though

Reads like the design brief. Lots of influences. Which is fine, but it reinforces what a derivative design it is. Can’t afford a Royal Oak? Of course you can’t. Buy this thing which is designed to be like it but cheaper.
If the bracelet’s good it looks like very good value though. Bell and Ross want the best part of five grand for theirs.

Don’t forget IWC and their £10k one with an extra £2k for Ti.
-
• #71592
Yeah but at least they have their original Genta design to lean on.

Plenty of watch for the cash but it’s an absolute Pinterest job

Bags of shit, the lot of ‘em

Personally, CW is well made.
If it a watch is well made and tasty, why turn your noses up at them.
Such CW hatred.... Sheesh
(I'm looking forward to seeing the dial in person.)
If you want a RO, go get a RO then

No hate really, I just can’t get excited about yet another derivative integrated bracelet sports watch that’s lacking any ideas of its own.
It’s difficult when you’re a young brand, I get it. You have to try and make watches that people will want.
-

I get why, it’s an accessible brand to quality watch when no way in hell people can afford to get a Tudor, Omega, etc. as they’re horrifically expensive.
While their watches clearly have inspiration from well known brand, it still look to have a CW touch to it.

Oh I don't find at appealing either. But some will. And as said, it's well made for the cash indeed. The COSC titanium is very well priced
Sold my IWC :'( as needs must. Even though I barely wore it, still felt quite sad
