  • I have one you can have. Not SE though - out West a bit.

  • Just a little bit out west? Or end of the line out west?

(I'm off to get some epoxy this am - what an exciting life I lead)

  • I'd say a little out West - The other side of Richmond Park and over the river a bit.

  • I've got a JetFluid and a Computrainer. Neither are in SE London but Crossrail could solve that problem.

You can have the Computrainer for free.
It still works with the legacy TR app - I was training with the Shiv on it last year. Might work with Zwift, not sure.

  • So erm I broke the handle lever thing on my cyclops yellow beast.

I think I have a spare handle. Let me check the shed.

  • Going with this for now

  • Booooooring.

But good to see fixing > replacing

  • I think it's trigger's broom. The frame is the same, I got saris/cycleops to replace the unit in the lockdown years.
What I like about it : it folds down easily, it allows me to work inside and outside, I can use zwift (thanks power meter!), it takes abuse well (sweat and shouting really).

What I don't like: it's not sexy like the new ones.

  • On the subject of fixing > replacing. The resistance lever on my spare turbo has died.
Could I rig it up to an old gripshift lever or something?

  • Just set it to "HARD" and tie the bastard off.

  • ^that

I found the spare handle if your fix doesn't work

  • Will shout if I need it, but I have a feeling/hope araldite is going to work.
    Thank you!

  • Shout too if you change your mind on replacing the whole thing.

  • Does anyone happen to have an xdr freehub for a Kickr going spare??

Whats the consensus on buying a second hand kickr core? Up shit creek if it breaks with no warranty? Are they economical to pay for a repair outside of warranty?

  • It sounds like Wahoo are on the brink, so I wouldn't count too much on a warranty from them anyway. I'd be comfortable buying second hand, I don't think there's a huge amount that can go wrong with a trainer.

  • …..breaking news……
    Araldite held
    ……breaking news…..

  • Are Wahoo on the brink?

  • Great, guess that's Speedplays fucked then.

  • It sounds like Wahoo are on the brink

    Oh shit.
But they have a ‘special agreement’ sounds totally fine…

Maybe I’m over thinking it, but I’d read quite a few reports of sensors failing. They all seemed to be well taken care of through warranty though.

I would be surprised if Wahoo did actually fold, but maybe a brand new Zwift hub is the better option.

  • Wahoo are suing Zwift for their trainer and Zwift are laying people off so I'm not sure they're a much better bet.

  • ffs, maybe the universe is telling me to just ride outside.

  • I'm still not doing it.

I've got a KICKR, Neo, Computrainer and JetFluid so if EVERYONE goes tits up, I'll reckon I'll be ok for a while :)

  • Training four times a week on a different turbo each day. Noice.

I want a Kickr but I want it cheap cheap. A grand for anything is appalling.
