  • IF they are coming with batteries that a pretty good deal

  • Most came with a battery & a charger, including the one I have picked up.

  • Saw they had a bunch of urban arrows, any idea price they went for? Too far for it to be worth me picking up from here, but might benefit some group down SE

  • £900-1300 from memory. I was watching but was annoyingly in a meeting when they ended

  • Swytch delayed...

We apologise that your order may be delivered outside of the original delivery window, this is because the battery shipment was held by the customs authorities and has delayed the dispatch from our factory. This problem has now been resolved and we are working hard to get your order to you as soon as possible.

    Estimated Delivery Date
    May 22, 2023 - Jun 15, 2023

  • Same with mine. Although I thought it was the end of May anyway so not much difference.

  • I think mine was sometime in May so not huge delay. Headwind commute tonight would've made good use of the Swytch though.

  • That's strange. I paid the deposit end of last year but then did nothing about it until about 4 weeks ago- well outside the order window. No communication from Swytch except to say they'd received payment... It arrived yesterday

  • My mum has been enjoying her bike recently and is ebike curious so she can extend her range. What does the entry level market look like atm, what's a decent low end bike costing? Bonus points if it has some small carrying capacity.

  • Anyone got any good recommendations for a front wheel motor to fit onto my mum's trike?

Edit: Apologies @gillies. Just saw your request after posting. Not a mum hijack. I can attest the decathlon offerings are great value for money.

  • Started a new project thread where I'm going to be upgrading this 2020 R&M Tinker Vario CX.

  • Has anyone tried a Haibike? I'm pondering one as a cyclescheme purchase but can't find anyone qith any in stock in south london other than evans...

The step through Trekking 4 one. Saw lots as hire bikes in Mallorca...

  • Have owned an Haibike Sduro 1, would recommend.
    Bosch kit is really good!

  • Big fan of Bosch.

    Tinker progress.

  • The Swytch kit turned up last week and we fitted it to the wife’s Pashley this afternoon. She went out for a ride and was delighted with it.

Thanks everyone who provided some input on the front brake, we went with a calliper and apart from having to drill the existing hole slightly wider it was a great solution.

I’ll post a couple of pics when I get the chance.

  • Nice. My dad is still loving his too :)

  • Looks really fun!

  • My swytch should arrive next week. Much excited.

  • I really like that!

  • Here’s the Swytch set up on the Pashley, it’s really quite neat.

We rode from Leyton down to Big Ben and back this morning with a diversion for breakfast, 29km and the battery was down to two lights out of five.

  • Looks like I might be getting my Swytch today, or I might not as according to the tracking "A hazardous materials irregularity occurred with this package."

  • Would excersize caution putting a front wheel motor on a fork of that construction type. Send an email to Pashley and ask if its OK, as a mechanic I would say no, unless somehow the crown/lug engages a long way into the fork leg. Its not as bad as old BSA suicide forks of the 50-80's, but I would ask the question to them.

  • Apologies for reply hijack, mine arrives this week going on this fork, should be ok or do i need to be a new fork buyer pronto?

  • surely if it already had a drum brake installed the fork would be designed (at the very least) to handle some force in that area?
