Speculative bid on an old Christiania bike paid off - so rather than waiting till we've moved house and then trying out a few bikes to see which one works best for us, I've bought a bike we've no room to store at home.
It needs lots of work - what I thought was a black prairie hood is actually a grey one covered in mildew - but I'm going to try a £7.49 bottle of awning cleaner before I buy a £200 hood.
It needs new grips/tape, a brake service and a bit of wood filler (and maybe repainting) but I like it so far.
