Where abouts are you based? 2km is legit, especially if it’s somewhere flat.
Some fairly necky descents today. Coming off Dale Head and Cat Bells in particular. Really steep tussocked grass, and some awkward rocky sections off Cat Bells. Despite feeling much slower than my previous self, it seems I can still claw back a decent amount of places on the descents. And my god was I grateful that I wore my grippier shoes.
Managed to drag myself round Newlands Memorial Fell Race today. 62 hour work week, short on sleep and woke up feeling like I’m coming down with something.
It felt hard tbh. Just couldn’t rev the engine and get any speed going, but then again I’ve not really done any training or hill miles so getting round is more than good enough.
