Yeah, loving this. I have a Cow-Poo PDF awaiting build. Same headache as you on T47 BBs. Not seeing a reasonably priced BB for 24mm Shimano anywhere?

Reasonable is tricky, I see that Hope have now dropped a 24mm verison of theirs but £100+
I've got a ROTOR T47 external on order.
https://r2-bike.com/ROTOR-Bottom-Bracket-T47-external-Steel-for-24-mm-Crank-SpindlesGuessing Cow-Poo and T47 = Holt too?

Turns out there are two t47 flavours, internal and external! Nae bother, you did me a big favour dropping that one off, will ebay or stick in the spares bin and build something around it later on.. maybe the Faran 3.0 will be t47..

Addiction has seen a few changes to earlier components. XT hubs went back, got a deal I couldn't refuse on Pro4s, fancied more vroom vroom noise because you can take the boy out of Staines but you can't..
Obviously ordered a few months before the Pro5. :/
This does mean the wheels have been collected from Arkane (https://arkanewheelworks.co.uk/) and can crack on.

Now someone remind me, what is the fashion these days for having a bigger tyre, front or back?
Actually, don't tell me. The fashion is more cush on the rear. This is the way. This has nothing to do with fitting the tyres and then remembering they were a different size. It's been so long now I can't remember what the thinking was.

Yerp a Holt. Chose Cow-Poo because had a tan 853 Inbred back then in Volvo Biscuit Beige. Cream-of-mushroom too close. Cow-Poo is also close to the muted rdvist trendy off-colours that rule these days. Had a Secan when they first came out, rode great. You wont be disappointed.
yeah saw the hope - so spendy these days. Thanks for the Rotor link, will go for that.
Will go 2.6 on mine so deffo a gravel bike.

Also building up a Holt. I took https://wheelsmfg.com/bottom-brackets/t47/t47-outboard-angular-contact-bb-for-24mm-shimano-cranks-black.html for bottom bracket. Rather expensive, but quality stuff (in another bike where I use a Wheels mfg bottom bracket at least).

Slowly slowly.
Shifter is fitted and can now ride it, slowly, start to get a sense of how much steerer to lob off before plumbing in the hydraulics. May have also taken some inspiration from the camo posted up thread.
Cable length and using bar bags, is the concensus to keep a little length? Chances are I'll keep them long-ish for a few months before setteling on bars, stem and stack.

Big fan, I also need these stickers. Where did you get them?
Bike looks great of course. With bar bags it's really the longer the better with the hoses, more sweepback will also be helpful, something like the Stooge Moto (although I prefer the norm core SQLabs 3Ox16) is a great bar bag bar.

Pedant time, this is a Fairlight after all and attention to detail is everything. To be honest, it has been a nice frame to build up but they got a little optimistic with this cable guide and clip. Easily fixed with a zip-tie but I didn't see any zip ties in the PDF.
Not sure where this next one lands, is it a niggle or a feature? Perhaps useful info for anyone else building one of these...
The pannier mount is as close to the axle as they could get it, so a Tubus Vega evo (370mm tall) barely clears the 2.25" tyre and I've had to move the stays to the outside of the rack. This rack is only a stop-gap for a trip next weekend but think a 385mm tall Tumbleweed mini is the best option now. -

I ditched the clips on my Faran for zip ties as they just didn’t stay put.

I'd probably be more concerned about the undercutting on that chainstay to BB weld! 😬

Won't pretend I know my welds but perhaps you are looking at the section with some helitape on it?

Might be a trick of the light but it looks a bit suspect to me, especially the top part running under the heli tape.

Done a little reading, I'll take some more pictures soon with less odd reflections.

There's always the Tubus Vega 29 ( non-evo ) version, which gets you 390mm height
Public service announcement, stop buying custom frame wraps. All you need is a few quids worth of 3M 8671HS tape.

Your favourite lipstic is optional for application.
Is this build exciting for anyone?! :D
