Would get train to Reading but not sure if we should go Fri night and get a little head start (camping near Reading?) or train out early Sat morning?
I guess it's pretty wet out there now but maybe in a few weeks it might be ok.
Clockwise or Anti? Any shit-hot campsites or pubs we should pillage on the way around?
Avoid the South Downs Way for the next couple of hundred years and you'll be good.
For the rest of it, I'd wait until late May at least given the current ground conditions and forecast if you are wild camping
