First sip I thought it'd be really heavy lactose sweetness but it was ok. Took me about 2hrs to finish the can, very tasty though.

I think that has to be a fairly strong contender. I emailed some food development kitchens last week to try and work out if it would be viable.

Was thinking that if we posted the bags out in a cardboard sleeve that could be designed in a way for the bag to then be stood within it, it would give the whole thing a similar kind of rigidity as a jar or a plastic tub. But once done the entire thing could be composted or biodegrades whilst you wait for the postman to re-up.

Does anyone in here buy smooth PB?

Crumpet might like peanut butter more than I do.

Edit: probably worth pointing out that there was a tiny bit left in the tub, I didn't just let her house a full kilo of Pip & Nut.

anyone tried Nuts about Nature 100% peanut butter? Bought a kilo of it as Whole Earth was out. It's really really oily. Not impressed.

no, if you let it stand with the lid on the oil will naturally rise to the top after a couple of days.
i buy the proper nutty 1kg tins and about 10mm of oil is usually sitting on the top when it's first opened, but it's fine once it's stirred in.
it's natural for the oil to separate.

you might find that it gets really claggy towards the end if you drain too much out.

Give it a bloody good stir. Make sure you get the bits at the bottom of the tub mixed in good n proper.
Then look at the spoon, consider trying to get what's all over the spoon back in the tub, then forget that and just lick that spoon clean.

That's because whole earth uses palm oil to stabalise their peanut butter and stop the oil separating. The ones that separate are far better as they're just pure peanuts. As the above comments have said give it a really good mix, I find a fork sometimes works best to mix than a spoon.

Yeah, once you get used to the no palm oil PBs, there is no going back.

Whole Earth is like cement to me, now.

It’s a tricky one, we love the Aldi 100% peanuts PB but I have a Skippy relapse every once in a while.

Is this a completely shit idea? Peanut Butter Club? Who is with me on my valiant quest to change the face of the earth, one peanut at a time? I will be investigating further before sinking my mortgage and life savings into this endeavour.

Belated response, but my family would be really into this. It's a great idea. I hate recycling/throwing away 2+ big plastic containers every week.

Thanks, I do still think there’s legs to this after looking into it very briefly, but unless I’m making my own PB and dispatching it myself the minimum quantities needed from a manufacturer are pretty huge unfortunately
