Neat, so many triangles for frame bags! What sort of cargo setup did you have in mind? The cable steering setup is interesting, looking forward to hearing how it feels in practice.

does it come with all stearing cables? -

My main use for it will for child carrying. With a car booster seat in the front and a trailer. But aside from that i will run it with a eurobox like this one

Yes. Although there options. If you are in the EU it's very very good value I feel. 1500 euros for a frameset.
In the UK, its a bit more pricey

i agree, great price!! its also great that the child will be super protected "inside" the structure
(i have an omnium and i am a bit concerned that if i fall on the side there is not a great deal pf protection for the chair in the front... but anyway, a normal kids chair on the rack is the same thing and we live with it fine...go figure...) -

Agreed!

This is exciting. My short bakfiets also fits one of those boxes, it's very practical.
And if you have a nicer trailer than me, ok one that attaches easier, then this will make the perfect cargo. -

I just can't do round grips.
I've broken both wrists at least twice, plus separated right shoulder and broken right collarbone. My hands need the support
-
• #14
Which trailer do you have?
-
• #15
wow...and i complain about carpall tunnel for some minor wrist pain... broken both wrists cant imagine....

Fortunately not at the same time. But I've been fairly lucky with them as the mostly happened in my teens and 20s. If I did it now (35) I'd be fucked.

Such a fun project

The kind thats free because a friend leaves it at your place.
Basic platform on two wheels, rusty.
It attaches to the axle. Not very practical, takes too long and involves tools. And the spring connection isn't confidence inspiring.
But if it comes to anything that's not tools or groceries it's more capable/flexible than just a long John.

Any build pics yet?
I've just paid for my new cargo bike frameset... so figured it'd put a thread here to use as Pinterest board that talks back.
