I had to dust it off to take the pic above. Say's it all really.
Locale is the main reason, where I am there are miles and miles of fire track and off-road which I always want to ride down rather than past. I'm also now too fat for all my lycra and refuse to buy XL labeled gear, my baggier mountain biking gear is more forgiving.
Gravel is cool too.
