Proposal to restart North drinks at The Maynard in Crouch End every Wednesday evening.

I will pin this to the front page for awareness if at least 4 of us agree to be there.

I would be sporadically up for that, depending on home stuff

Maynard has a nice line in bitter and the seats out the front catch the sun nicely on a Summer evening. Also you can likely get away with lockless.

They have Goodness brewing stuff in there (local folks) which is what I normally go for

I would love to turn up some time. It is astonishingly far away though, for me.

Oooh, want to move this week from Wednesday to Thursday and do drinks there? I'll be there but late as I've got a restaurant booking early Thursday evening.

I'll deffo be there with a few cycle buddies, should all wear cycling caps or carry a copy of the Standard under our left arms or whatever.

(apparently there's a 65 person WhatsApp group that thought I'd colluded with Mikey to make it Wed @ Maynard last week — but no such collusion happened, I just happen to work late Tuesday evenings and I think that pub is OK. Inside was rammed though, pub quiz on Wednesday was not something I'd accounted for)

I wouldn’t lose sleep over that WhatsApp group, they kicked me out years ago for being far too good looking for them. They use the group to arrange a meet up but don’t put details on here so no one outside that group gets to hear about it. At best they’re now a splinter group and the true Norths is what’s done and arranged in this thread. Is good to see it being updated again, it might even tempt me to pop by.
