Quite like how the ratty Thomson looks.
I’m really tempted to re-paint this frame. I’m not a fan of matte, and leila isn’t really a fan of pink

Of the sick variety?

But all the best bikes are pink!

My daughter is a bit anti-girly and has a bit of a knee-jerk negative reaction to pink stuff. I reckon a sick pink to turquoise (her favourite colour) fade would be acceptable though.

Do it! (With your daughter's approval obviously) it'll look awesome.

Seconded

Shame about the logo placement - I could have used the pink as a base coat and done a fade in another colour over the top.

Is it under lacquer or just stickers? If the latter, just get a hairdryer on it.

Made a slightly impulse, slightly pointless purchase so will soon have a new project to crack on with: Genesis Day One to build up as a fixed gravel -cough-tracklocross-cough- kind of thing.
Feels very spurious as it’s the exact same frame as my CDF, apart from the dropouts, so I think I might set it up with risers or something.

While I waiting for the tracklocross bike to materialise, I thought I’d get the un-locross track bike out of mothballs.
It’s been up on our draughty loft all winter while we had some building work done on the house, so I was a bit nervous to see if it has suffered any ill effects. Luckily just a tiny bit of mildew on the bar tape and nothing more.
Might even get out on this at the weekend!

Ha, cheers I do love it. There was a point where I was considering selling it, but my wife put her foot down and wouldn’t let me 😄
I’m hoping to get my fitness back up a bit and get it back out on the velodrome at some point soon

Please be careful 😬

Ha! I’m using them as a placeholder, I promise!
I still intend to do the sensible thing and put them on my daughters bike 😄

Use them however you see fit. Just expect a dental remodeling

So the wheels destined for the Day One turned up and I chucked the Ramblers from my gravel bike on them (getting new ones for that soon). Looking…. Exactly the same as my CDF, apart from the flat bars, which will be replaced by some OG V2s for now, although I think I like the low rise of the deadly Chinese carbon ones - may find something similar in aluminium.

Looks fun!

It does! I’m looking forward to getting it rideable. I’ve got a 6-bolt cog on its way (no lockring reverse thread) and I need to pick up a hydro lever/calliper off a mate next time I see him. Plus need to swap out the death-bars. Hopeing for all that to coincide with some balmy spring-like weather.
I have a feeling I’ll need a layback seatpost as it feels a little squished, but I’ll see how it feels riding.

Ooffff this is lovely <3
GT went to my mate last night. Feel like it was the right decision - he’s pretty chuffed with it.
Latest set-up of Leila’s bike:
50mm Thomson stem so I can finally put 31.8mm bars on it. Some wider XLC ones for now, but I’m still planning to chop down the carbon risers I have from @PhilDAS
Need to get a more bouji saddle ideally, but slim pickings for kid-specific ones.
