Just use a marker pen on your skin under the hole.

You can try darning the hole, if it's not too big:

Used this on a Gabba and works really well and is very difficult to notice unless you're looking for it. Certainly not cheap but in my opinion, totally worth it.

^ I've used this on bibs. Works well if it's not on an area that sees much wear and tear. Also seems to work better on certain types of lycra than others (thicker, more 'matt' finishing fabrics bond well, shiny, thin ones don't)

Top suggestions, mightily tempted by the marker pen approach but reckon the Ironmend option looks worth exploring.

Bump (literally, that's what caused the hole in her shorts)
Is there a best way to repair crash damaged shorts?
Just join up the edges or better to find a donor piece of lycra and stitch it in or is there something iron-on that might work?

Albion do some repair patches depending on the size of your hole...

That was the first thing I thought of but wasn't sure if they were for lycra, thought they were more for jackets and stuff.

Hole is like a 2cm long slice.

Ah yeah maybe. Haven't tried mine yet although I do have some holes to cover.

- They're not my shorts
- We will buy whichever brand shorts fit the best.
- Assos offers a repair service

Bar the obvious solution of simply buying some more, what's the best option to repair lycra? Patching, sewing or, possibly, glueing? Hole is small on the side of the thigh rather than in an abrasion area.
Suggestions very welcome.
