• How to effectively do snagging which gets the outcome you want whilst not coming across like a total dick? Asking for a friend. thnx

    1. Make a bullet list (with photos)
    2. Share with trades
    3. .
  • 3.Blame it on the misses - you know what she's like! But what can you do? So yeah straighten the kitchen light switch and use a spirit level. Where were we? Oh yeah No.142...

  • Found in the past that treating it as a normal part of the process has been fine. Raise and record issues as you spot them, ensure you're speaking to the right person, avoid the blame game, and be reasonable in how/when the issues will be put right (before final payment).

  • I just gave the various trades lists of items I felt were outstanding.
Maybe I was lucky that everyone was grown up about it

  • Ask them if they think 'this' is acceptable whilst maintaining and not breaking eye contact. First person to speak loses.

  • Lose your shit politely via WhatsApp and send pics of offending areas
We had to do this with the tiler who came back today and ripped off several tiles and some tile trim to redo.
The one trade who has been below par. Job is not 100% but acceptable now.
Once everything else is in I’m sure those small areas will be forgotten about as now we will not have sausage sized silicone lines due to inaccurate tile cutting.
