I bought a secondhand set of corima carbon rim brake wheels, I haven't owned a set of carbon rims before but they're seems to be some minor flaking over the weave pattern. Person I bought them from said he's only ever used the cork pads with them, which I've heard shouldn't cause much damage to the rims. Would this sort of degradation be cause for concern?
Looks just like wear to the brake track. The brake pads are essentially braking on epoxy resin, not carbon. Once that wears through, you'll start going into carbon.
I can't say whether they're too worn or not, I'm not an expert. I'd be happy riding it though
