  • I keep swapping this one between straps when I change them. Although they are my favourite buckles and I have three now - one with the watch originally, one that I bought separately as a spare and one that “my person” at GS kindly arranged for me FOC (to go on my other GS) because I was talking about how much I like them (and dislike deployants).

    @JB <3

  • “my person” at GS

This is just golf club low hanging fruit. C'mon. Probably my favourite modern GS of all time and fave forum watch though in all seriousness.

  • A buckle is the least they should spot you considering what a good customer you are :)

  • Nivada teasing another one of their reissues. 38mm.

  • Or big deep carbon rims.

  • This is just golf club low hanging fruit. C'mon.

    Bait!

    Ta tho.

  • Looks A OK to me.. Are you on the GS influencers list yet?

Edit to add.. there is a part of me that has a deep desire to touch that strap.

  • I think they might eventually realise that I’m not… but in the meantime, happy days. Watch stands and buckles all round.

  • Late addition to the ETA Tudors
    Annoyingly I’ve chipped my pip

  • Any recs for a tough clear to read reliable watch to wear for daily work in a engineering environment?
    G-Shock?

    G-Shock?

Depends what you need it to do. A G-Shock is probably the right answer but you may find an analogue watch easier to read at a glance, eg:

If you do look at G-Shocks, check out the ones with the newer generation MIP displays like the GBD-200 series or the G-Lide GBX-100 series as the displays are way easier to read in all light conditions than the older LCDs. Also it looks like the screen is crammed with loads of info but you can switch it to just show the time in large numerals (or dual time, etc) plus the date.

  • In fact my GBX-100-2ER is for sale if you're interested.

  • I'll never make influencer status as I'm not on social media (apart from Twitter in a read-only capacity).

  • Have you got a link to this strap? Was it easy to fix yourself? Need to replace mine

  • in a engineering environment

You'll be aware, however, nothing with a bracelet, especially if any electricity around. I've a friend with a burn scar to prove and it was only 24v

  • I got them to replace it 😀 but I had changed it previously and just used a normal spring bar removal tool. If you’re nervous or don’t have the tools then I’d just ask them to do it though

  • I've always quite like these a a G-shock alternative although i only look for G-shock alternatives as any I've tried look too big on me

  • Personally I prefer my Pro-Trek for easy to read and tough

Also, as Regal says, the Citizen Super tough is pretty good looking, tough and easy to read. It's the watch I wear 90% of the time.

  • Just cause you didn’t mention any budget… GS SBGX293 is super cool. So is a Railmaster or a Milgauss?

  • Tried on the hesalite Moonwatch (on mesh strap with deployant strap) today, doesn’t really mind mesh strap, but price was really tempting (5550 instead of 7200)

Should I ? Would I prefer it over the BB58 as a work watches ?

  • As we never got engaged I bought my wife a Rolex decades ago which was very small and she traded for an OP in 2015 much bigger and Rapha pink batons .
Ive not seen another ,I love it and if she goes first I’m totally going to wear it .

  • dibs the jumper.

  • Couldn't afford a Grand Seiko Quartz so had to buy this instead. Kind of huge on my wrist but uhhhh I guess I'll just deal with that.

  • Thinning down the collection. Anyone interested in any of these (apart from the first row).

Can share better pics if interested.
