Canon and Nikon now have whole lens lineups for the R & Z systems so their SLR lenses are probably not going to receive much attention from now.
Mirrorless tends to have loads of bells and whistles and are usually equally happy shooting video but you can get a full frame dslr now for relative bargains, because no-ones investing in those systems.

Saw a Canon 5D mkII for £300 in good condition the other day. That's a lot of camera for the money
