• What's the view here on mirrorless vs DSLR in the current state of things?

    If one was looking for a full frame camera for non professional use...

  • You’ll probably get mixed answers but camera manufacturers have been putting all their efforts into mirrorless systems.

    Canon and Nikon now have whole lens lineups for the R & Z systems so their SLR lenses are probably not going to receive much attention from now.

    Mirrorless tends to have loads of bells and whistles and are usually equally happy shooting video but you can get a full frame dslr now for relative bargains, because no-ones investing in those systems.

    I've now read around the subject a bit and as you say, DSLRs are essentially being retired from product line ups so that does shape the question somewhat.

    Saw a Canon 5D mkII for £300 in good condition the other day. That's a lot of camera for the money
