• It's finally arrived and its very shiny 😁 a nice surprise was that what looks white on this is actually silver graduating to metallic grey.

  • Sweet lord Jesus

  • Almost (almost) worth the wait!

  • Stunning!

  • Yeah it was long but I'm glad i held out for this colour. Every time i chased it up they offered me a blue art decor or Saronni red as they had stock. The frustration was eased by me getting my order in before 2 price hikes so i got this for £500 less than the current rrp and they included the headset for free for my patience and a hand written note apologising for the delay and wishing me happiness with my new bike. Slanes comms and customer service was great throughout and they had to be patient with me as well and all the delays were with Colnago so they did their best. It's all forgotten about now it's here.

  • Good things clearly come to those who wait - just look at those tube profiles!!!

With a bit of trimming, that Colnago box would look great on a shed wall.

  • Congrats! I would have lost patience/called my money in a long time ago but its ace to see your persistence pay off, that paint job wipes the floor with the stock options. Looking forward to seeing it built up!

  • Cheers this paint job is a stock option but for some reason you don't see many about. Even when i was looking through Google images for build inspiration very few come up. I'll try and get some better pics in the daylight tomorrow and maybe get it up to a rolling chassis if i have time

  • I would go full tune as I think the soft mattness of the deda doesn't look quite right and in my head it makes sense to have a different brand bars with tune seatpost/stem than deda kit with 3t bars. for one thing because deda make great bars. edit just seen you have chosen a stem, my bad.

  • I've got a gloss Tune saddle but my de badged seatpost does have a satin finish so I'll see how it looks. Because of the horizontal tt I'm only going to have about 6.5 inches of post showing but it is going directly in to a black seat tube. I had considered it and a guy local to me has a NOS gloss black Tune alloy post for sale right now although he's asking top price for it. I've got a skinny gloss black Sim works stem and gloss black 3t superleggeras. As I'm writing this I'm thinking this really needs a gloss black post now.

  • Hmm is this going to be black enough and/or shiny enough? I don't actually want to insert this now incase it marks it and i end up listing it next week. I'll have to put it next to the seat tube and try and judge it on that in daylight tomorrow.

  • This deserves more than a hylix post

  • I was gutted i just missed out on the mcfk that Dick was selling a while back as that would have been perfect. Looks like I'm going for a Tune then. I might stick the Hylix on the Zero disc it is very light.

  • I always miss Dick's best bits 😩

  • Congrats on finally receiving the frame, that's a beautiful colourway. The world sure has changed since you ordered it.

  • Very exciting.
Are you sure on the black post.
I love the record titanium I have on my Merckx . Looking forward to build .

  • I think every other colourway of these looks way better with silver finishing kit and whilst silver would definitely still work with the black i committed to the black as possible theme a while ago plus this might end up with a black fork on it as well. Nice Indy Fab in the background there I've always wanted one.

  • Very nice Nick, look forward to seeing the end result.

  • Personally I think the silver fork looks great, works with the lighter colours on the paint job. But ofc do whatever you think is best

  • Waoh the paintjob is a banger, so funky

  • Think you are right with that lovely group set , have you considered the record carbon one campag do . And yep Indy fab make lovely frames , steel delux mtb.

  • no, you'd want Zipp type gloss

  • Tune type gloss? Or a masterpiece maybe ? The Hylix will go on the Zero disc as its about 100g lighter than the one I've got on there
