  • Just built (in my hotel room, with freshly bought tools):

I have a better picture of it but I'm buggered if I can find it.

In the US so we'd need to sort out shipping.

    £1,000

  • I mean, you definitely win seller of the day award.

This is my fave so far. (All too big for me).

  • I'm just waiting to appear in the "your classified is over-priced" thread.

  • This one's my favourite too. The timing isn't right for me sadly

  • The hubs on this are really special and I'm fucked if I can remember what they are.

OEM Serotta titanium stem and not-quite-matching but also very nice titanium seat post from one of the US boutique outfits, whose name also escapes me. And titanium cages, naturally.

  • Luckily too small for me. It’s a lovely bike.

  • If you want it, and can arrange the money at some point relatively soon* then I’m happy for you to have it.

    *Within ‘23

  • Just how dead do you want me to be?!

  • What's the frame size?

  • 57cm:

    Seat Tube 57
    Top Tube 57
    Head Angle 73.5
    Seat Angle 73
    Chain stay 415
    Rake 43
    Drop 7
    Headtube 15.6
    Stand over Ht. 82.8
    BB height 27

  • Ok, I dug out an old PM, the hubs are silver Campagnolo Record 10 speed, which are running an 11 speed cassette to work with the Ultegra drivetrain. Rims are silver Magic clinchers, Vittoria tyres.

It's a Kent Eriksen Sweetpost, and the saddle is a classic Flite - but sadly it's had the sides badly scuffed by being lent against walls by idiots.

  • Updated size info^^

  • OMFG.
This is very tempting, but the us is far away and realistically I would prefer that bike a bit smaller.

And while I think the Klein was very very very well priced this feels right.

  • Dibs the yellow one.

Lovely bike this and very well priced

  • You are literally the only person I'd sell the yellow one too, should you want it.

  • @dammit - are you keeping all your mtbs?

  • Well, everything has a price but the only MTB I’d consider selling is the hardtail/Pace RC 529 and I don’t know what I’d consider a fair price to see that go.

  • I missed this. Will happily take it back off your hands whenever you no longer want it

  • You'll be amazed to hear that I threw quite a lot of money at it, and a lot more recently than the other bikes I'm selling/have sold, so to (somewhat!) cover the costs of the parts it would have to be more than the green and black bike. I also really like it, it (for me) is the bike that started it all in terms of Serotta - it's why I bought the red white and blue one that a) turned out to be fucked and b) became the red CSi that I rode tens of thousands of miles on.

  • Of course, it’s certainly had a few upgrades (every single part other than the headset I’d imagine?) since I sold it to you. It’s now in dream build territory so would still be happy to take it back whenever it no longer fits the collection, I’m sure we could come to an agreement on a price. Am also not necessarily in a rush, 5 arm super record is never going out of fashion

Edit to add - there’s just something about that bike, the only one I’ve ever let go that I still feel invested in, so completely understand your feelings on it

  • I changed the headset as well - from the silver Chris King to a new black Chris King.

  • Any chance of taking frameset only?

  • If it did come to it I’d be interested in the seatpost but if this is in the US I’m guessing split will be a hassle.

  • Sorry chaps, not splitting.
