I've never played any game with Zelda /link letalone BotW so I can't appreciate the hype

Do need to play as I know BotW is universally acclaimed

I personally never enjoyed any 3d Zelda games despite trying quite a few of them, but BOTW blew me away. It singlehandedly got me to buy a switch and I loved it.
