  • Thanks. Sod that drive if I can get a dealer to take the shipping risk. Might have to call around. Unless @ejay2.0 knows better.

  • I think all Breitling dealers ship them there and take the shipping risk we only drove down because the watches were expensive and the Breitling service centre had just been remodeled. I’m sure there’s a shop in Swindon that would ship it for you

  • This is useful to know. I might cycle over with my Toptime

  • Thanks all.

I've put a new battery in it (first time in years) so will see how much time it loses and how frequently by next week. Maybe it just needs a service and a lube to the movement. Or maybe some capacitive element died years ago and it has too much resistance to move the hands sometimes. No idea.

  • Good news - My Studio Underd0g has arrived today.

Bad news- was delivered to neighbour who's out!

  • A.k.a. SGT009 in Seiko’s short reference numbers.

  • Ugh, on a train this morning. Happy Friday all.

  • I’ve just checked the P39 again and it’s currently half a second fast. I haven’t re-set the time since the clocks changed.

  • 6 seconds fast since purchase. Impressive stuff.

  • Snap

  • It is. Over a period of time this is definitely my most accurate watch. The P39 has made me revise my opinion of Tudor, and especially my opinion of the Kenissi movements.

  • Atomically accurate

  • New to me yesterday. Smiths A452 from 1954. It’s in almost mint condition and keeps time to within 1min/24 hours. Not bad for a 70 year old watch, and v pretty imo.

  • Picked this up on Tuesday after receiving an email from Tudor to say they had one for me. I was completely thrown when I arrived to try it as they had one LHD in stock. I've been wanting to try one for so long, but not seen one in stock for a couple of years at least.
What I'd actually like is a hybrid of the LHD and the 39 but I decided the 39 was more likely to be worn.

  • Very happy with change to a rally strap from an orange zulu. Rolex has gone off to Calibre for repairs so it’ll be this most of the time for a few weeks.

  • Congrats, they’ve definitely opened the floodgates with the P39 supply. What aspects of the LHD do you prefer?

    Happy Friday all.

  • Today I am mostly wearing this Timex BB ‘Homage’.

Should anyone be interested, I have another one of these - BNIB that I would happily let go for £30.00.

  • I do like a date, although it looks cleaner without. I love the LHD dial with the chamfer and set in markers. I also like the off white colouring of the markers and hands.
The thickness and diameter of the 39 is better and more wearable and the bezel is miles better.

I think its mainly that the LHD was the first proper watch that I knew I wanted to own when I started to get in to watches. Obviously I hadn't tried it, but I read and watched a lot to do with it.

  • Anyone got a Speedmaster for sale?

  • Really like this, time for a reissue imo. :)
