Homebrew of equal parts dextrose and maltodextrin, total of 10 grams per 100ml, accompanied by a hydration tablet of your choice, mostly for taste.
Works for me and easy on the stomach, YMMV, don't come at me if you try it and end up with the runs.

My drink mix has salt in it.
I used to take baggies of drink mix around but nowadays mostly just stop somewhere for refills.
I also use less "sport shit" and have more real food as not racing so I'll drink more plain water. -

I've run out of Torq but did find 1kg bag of maltodextrin and 1kg bag of fructose in the cupboard so guess who's going DIY...
Now I understand why the hydrotab is in there. What about that powdered fizzy drink stuff for kids in supermarkets? Wonder what that tastes like.

Not a clue, only one way to find out! Forgot to say my mix also has a pinch of salt. With you on eating real food, etc.

Yeah, we used the app for the first time on the GMC last year (@danera might have more info). Worked well, save for one control that maybe needed a bigger geofence?

Never knew audaxes had got so mardy;
“ The main difference this year is a change to the first control at Lasham. For several years the Avenue Garden Centre staff have been helpful and supportive of us having our control there. However, the manager let me know that they do not want us to use their facilities this year. This was following our Gently Bentley audax last month, after which the manager informed me about several instances of inconsiderate behaviour of cyclists, one of which involved the use of offensive language towards staff. I do not know whether these cyclists were on our audax or not, however the result is that the behaviour of a small number of people means we are no longer welcome to stop there. "

Gently
Someone's missed the point. Then again, might not have even been a rider from the audax.

I wish the same shit applied to drivers.
"This one prick in a car almost killed me so we've banned all the cars from this road"

It does seem to happen now and again - there was a similar issue with a petrol station in Wales that Mark Rigby was asking people on his events to avoid a couple of years ago.

‘A driver shouted at a member of the checkout staff so we have been forced to stop the use of our car park facilities’

There is a farm shop near Wingham in Kent and I'd 80% of patrons give you a look like you have a Camilla voodoo doll around your neck. The staff are ok, but have been ocassionally salty for no reason. Wouldn't surprise me if in a year or two organisers are told to not use it, but it would be down to the complaints of Thatcherite grannies, not the behaviour of the sausage roll seeking cyclists

• #12272
Not as if cyclists are renowned for being cheapskates, is it?
